Manco Capac is the 2010 Spring Collector's Choice and 10th in the Breyer Collector's Choice series.
This dark red roan is named for an ancient Incan god, Manco Capac, worshipped as a god of sun and fire. Known for their smooth gaits, proud carriage and luxurious flowing manes, Peruvian Pasos are favored as trail horses and parade horses.
Today's Peruvian Paso, stands at an average of 14.3 hands and goes back to the horses brought to Peru by 15th century Spanish Conquistadors. The breed has been as carefully cultivated for their intelligence and kind, willing dispositions.
