Oliver lives in Denbigh, Wales and belongs to the Flint and Denbigh branch of the Pony Club. In his charming essay, he relates how Pippin's former owners advertised him for sale on the Pony Club website. Being caring and responsible people, they wanted to make sure that their pony went to the right home.
Imagine Oliver's delight when his family was chosen from among six to have Pippin! The young boy even paid for the handsome blue roan Connemara himself. His purchase was certainly a wise one. At age 20, Pippin was a veteran Pony Club mount who taught many children to ride, taking care of them and inspiring them with confidence.
