Limited edition model of a polo 'pony' at full gallop. This beautiful dapple grey Santiago was bred in Argentina, home to many of the world's best polo ponies.
With thundering hooves and a ball that can travel at over 100 miles per hour, it's no wonder that the sport of polo can take your breath away. This exciting game features nimble and fast horses whose manes are shaved and tails wrapped so they do not get tangled in the rider's mallet. Played in over 60 countries, riders wear colorful team clothing and are only allowed to play with their right hand for safety reasons. Polo is considered the world's oldest team sport, dating back to 600 B.C. in Persia.
