Build a wooden model swing bridge - Leonardo's idea as a working model. Model with moving parts - bridge swings 45° and controls rotate.

Leonardo's swing bridge was conceived for the safety of soldiers and therefore he called them "bridges of happenstance" or "salvational bridges." It was intended to be constructed over a watercourse to open and close over the water.
