SpecCast SP266
Highly detailed 1:16 scale model replica 6060 4 WD tractor with loader from SpecCast Classic Series.
Features include steerable front end, hydraulics raise and lower bucket at front of tractor, open cab with canopy, rubber tyres with tread design and metal rims.
Gasoline powered tractors were gone by the 1980's. The 175-185 basic power train had been in production since 1948, although greatly improved through out that period. New, more efficient diesel engines were available. Synchronised transmissions were considered the standard. The time was right for some changes.
To provide more modern entries in the 60-90 horse power class, two more trains with optional front wheel assist from Fiat were combined with two A-C four cylinder 200 cubic inch turbocharged diesel, one of them intercooled. The result 63.83 horsepower Model 6060 and 83.66 horsepower Model 6080 tractors went into production in the fall of 1980. The 6060 had an eight speed partially synchronised gearbox while the 6080 boasted a fully synchronised 12 speed transmission. A new ROPS cab was offered for the pair in early 1982. Both had outstanding performance but the 6060 needed more gears.
