SpecCast SP921
Limited Edition die-cast replica Kinze, 'Big Blue Tractor'. Detailed twin Detroit V-8 engines, opening cab door with detailed interior.

In 1972, with the encouragement and support of Bill Dietrich (DMI founder), Jon Kinzenbaw began development of a 12-bottom, adjustable-width plow with a flexible beam. The plow would be pulled by a custom built tractor featuring two John Deere axles and transmission assemblies and two Detroit V-8 engines. One axle was rebuilt from a John Deere 5020 tractor and one was built new. The 318 engine engines came from two wrecked semi trucks.

The tractor featured a double-walled cab. The floor, ceiling, walls and tubing (of the cab) were packed full of sand to increase weight and reduce noise. The top part of the hood held 150 gallons of diesel fuel. This 20-ton, 636 HP, 4WD articulated tractor first appeared at the 1974 Farm Progress Show near Fort Dodge, Iowa, and drew huge crowds at farm shows several years thereafter.
